In July, 1922, I was attacked with a severe illness. Every part of my body seemed to be ailing; and a physician told me that if I recovered, my healing would be very slow. The trouble grew worse: I had lost my strength, and paralysis seemed imminent. My diet was very rigid, the doctor prescribing no other food than a little milk; and my room had to be darkened. A little later a friend whose child had been healed by Christian Science went to see a practitioner and spoke of me. The latter came to see me and asked if I too would like to be healed by Christian Science. I signified that I would, and was very happy, for it was what I wanted. After the first treatment I rose and went into the garden, and began reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. In a few days I was taken to the home of a friend who had offered to care for me. I felt better from day to day, and was completely healed in two weeks. At the end of a month I had gained thirty-seven pounds, and returned home so well that every one was amazed. My family was delighted and grateful.

As for myself, my happiness is so great for having found Christian Science that I cannot find words to express it. I am so happy that it seems to me I am only beginning to live; and I feel better than ever before. I am also grateful for the Lesson-Sermon, which I study each day. I thank God, Mrs. Eddy, and the practitioner who helped me.
