We are told in the Bible to give thanks,—to rejoice evermore
We are told in the Bible to give thanks,—to rejoice evermore. It is with a heart full of gratitude to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, that I send this testimony. I trust it may help some one as the testimonies of others have helped me.
For eighteen years I suffered from stomach trouble and the discordant conditions which attend this difficulty. Christian Science proved that the way of escape is at hand; and I am free indeed. On Wednesday morning I was awakened with a sense of extreme itching on parts of my body. By Thursday evening my whole body was covered with a rash. My family became alarmed and, not being interested in Science, tried to persuade me to have a physician; but I called a practitioner instead. By the following morning the disease had disappeared.
Through the understanding of God's allness I have been relieved of lack. In the winter of 1922, I tried for three days to get coal. Finally I left the telephone with the thought that God would supply my need; for does not our Leader say in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need"? Five minutes afterward the telephone rang, and I was asked if I needed coal. I answered, "Yes"; and the supply came, from a very unexpected source.
