It is with a heart full of gratitude that I add my testimony to the many others. For years I was in a miserable condition. Eight years ago I had pneumonia, with fever, which left my lungs very weak. After that, as soon as the cool weather began in the fall, I would contract a cold and cough, which usually stayed with me all winter. Three years ago last fall, the cough started a little earlier. I just dragged around, hardly caring whether I lived or not. I had refused for two years to see a doctor, feeling sure that I knew what he would say. Finally, I broke down completely. My husband then called in the doctor. After he had given me medicine and kept me doped with morphine for about three weeks, he told my husband there was no chance for me to get well, as one lung was practically all gone and I could live only a few days at the most. My niece then suggested to my husband that we try Christian Science; and he consented, knowing that this was my only chance.

A practitioner was called, and treatments were immediately begun. I slept one night and day. On waking, I was so weak I could not raise my hand or speak above a whisper; but I had the happiest, most peaceful feeling I had ever experienced, and I knew God was with me and had healed me. In a few days I walked into our sitting room. In a very short time I was able to do all my work, whereas for years before I had not been able to work more than a short time without being tired out. I had suffered from catarrh all my life. That is entirely gone now. My hearing has been greatly helped, too. For twenty-six years I used a certain kind of salve for my eyes. My eyes are better to-day than when I was a little girl. For over three years Truth has been my only physician, and I am in perfect health. I cannot begin to express my gratitude to my niece, who suggested our trying Christian Science; to the practitioner; to Mary Baker Eddy, who gave her time to help others; to Christ Jesus; to our dear God, from whom all these blessings come.

My earnest desire is for more understanding to help others,—to have that Mind which was in Christ Jesus.
