It is with sincere gratitude for all the blessings I have received in Christian Science, and with the thought of encouraging others, that I give my testimony. When I began the study of Christian Science, during the darkest hours of my life, I lived where there were no Christian Science services of any kind, and the testimonies in the periodicals were a source of comfort and inspiration to me. It would be impossible for me to relate how I was lifted from distressing conditions, brought on by sickness in my family, into peace, happiness, and plenty. I was on the verge of either insanity or suicide when Christian Science was presented to me, and as a drowning man grasps at a straw I accepted it. I had tried faith cure, hypnotism, and so forth, but these seemed only to bring on despair along with the other conditions. Immediately upon taking up the study of Christian Science I was helped mentally, and saw that this was what I had been for years seeking and hungering after. I received new ambition, new interest, and knew that God was with me and that I had found how to understand Him; and I was confident that all my problems would be solved sooner or later.

After studying Science for about five years, gradually gaining in understanding, I was completely freed from the seeming burdens; and my life has been one of happiness since that time, seven years ago.

Recently we have had an experience that has proved the power of divine Love over financial problems. We had lent some money to a company and had taken as security a real estate mortgage. Creditors appeared and brought suit to have our mortgage set aside. We were told by attorneys that the case would probably be in court for years, and doubt was expressed as to a favorable outcome. We immediately depended wholly on God, as taught in Christian Science, and many obstacles were overcome. There was no delay, although the case was taken through two courts; and in six months it was disposed of and the money in our hands. From the first we realized that justice and right are of God; that God is All-power; and that there is only one law and one judge.
