In the Union of recent date, a critic inferred that Christian Science is intended only for special types of ailments, and not for organic diseases. At Wednesday evening meetings in Christian Science churches testimonies are given by those healed of organic and functional diseases. Every issue of The Christian Science Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel contains authenticated testimonies of such healing, with the names of the persons healed. In current issues of the Journal and Sentinel there are testimonies of healing of carious bone, diphtheria, diseased lungs, stomach, liver, bowels, chronic indigestion, anæmia, inflammation of the bowels, typhus fever, inflamed membrane of the brain, hemorrhage, influenza, partially paralyzed and tubercular intestines, double hernia. Christ Jesus' healing was not limited to special types of sickness. He healed all manner of disease, and he said, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also." Christian Science follows his teachings and heals every kind of disease.
