Five years ago, at a time of great discouragement and seeming loss of all human friendship, Christian Science was recommended to me. The words meant nothing to me then, but I consented to read the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, because it was so lovingly offered. During the second reading of the book came my first healing. The revelation that awaited me was the opening of my eyes to the wonderful vision of divine Love.

For over twenty years I had worn glasses with the fear of constantly failing eyesight binding me to their use. Awakening one morning and taking up Science and Health, I read two pages before realizing that I was not wearing my glasses. I then read two pages in the Bible, and then the morning paper with an ever increasing light and understanding. Being a musician, I had to read music at sight; and when this also was accomplished, clearly and distinctly, I knew I was healed. I was so overjoyed and grateful for this manifestation of God's love that I forgot one of my worst habits, smoking; and so I had received a second healing without a thought of receiving it.

I have not worn glasses since that day; neither have I desired to use tobacco. Later a broken wrist, shattered by the back fire of an automobile, was healed by the power of Truth; and although the arm turned black from the wrist to the elbow, it was in use five days after the accident. Divine Love protected me from comments regarding it by the hand remaining normal. Numerous other healings have also taken place,—healings of colds, fevers, influenza, headaches, corns,—all within such short spaces of time as to be almost instantaneous.
