The Lectures

Introductions to Lectures

Karlsruhe, Germany (auspices of Schorndorf Society).

Lecturer: Miss Lucia C. Coulson; introduced by Erich Paul Hieber, who said:—

As there is only one God there can be only one true religion, one true knowledge of God. This religion for which men yearn must be active and practical, and with its help all the problems which arise in our lives must be capable of being solved. It must be more satisfactory than a mere religious formalism. We need a religion which is so scientific that it satisfies people who long for facts, and at the same time so religious that it gratifies the spiritual sentiments of mankind. It must also be able to establish the long-desired unity between Christianity and Science. We find this union of Christianity and Science in Christian Science, whose teachings can be proved in a scientific and practical way.
