I never read The Christian Science Journal and Christian Science Sentinel, with their wonderful testimonies, that I do not feel I must express my gratitude for the many blessings we have experienced through the study of Christian Science. I hope that this testimony will be of benefit and encouragement to some one.

About fourteen years ago, conditions in my home were very inharmonious and unsatisfying. Our little daughter, from birth, had manifested a very irritating cough. We had several physicians treat her. The last one told us that it was a chronic cough which she would have to outgrow, if she ever became free from it. At night she coughed nearly constantly. One night, after trying everything I knew of to relieve her, I was desperate and asked for help in Christian Science. The child was relieved immediately, and did not cough any more that night. This proved to me that Christian Science could heal. I got a Christian Science Quarterly the next day, and began to study the Lesson-Sermon daily. This first experience was not a complete healing, for whenever the child took a little cold, the cough would reappear; and while she would be relieved each time, it was two years before she was entirely healed. This gradual healing proved to be a great blessing to me, as I was forced to keep on studying the Bible with the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, until I knew Christian Science was the truth and that the divine Principle was involved, a lesson which I needed in working out my problems, physical, mental, or whatever the inharmony or discord might call itself.

Later, our little boy was brought out of a severe spasm in five minutes, with absolutely no ill effects. A few years ago he awoke one morning with the worst manifestation of inflammatory rheumatism I had ever witnessed. For three or four days he could not be moved, even on pillows, without suffering intense pain. In ten days he was back in school, completely and perfectly healed, with no deformity or trace of what he had seemed to go through.
