It is with a heart overflowing with gratitude I send this testimony. My first healing was from a stomach and bowel disorder and nervousness of nine years' standing. Since then I have had many healings. I shall mention a few which I know will be a help to some seeker for this glorious truth.
I was healed of burns, throat trouble, and the effects of accidents. At one time when I was turning a roast in the oven it slipped, and the hot grease splashed all over my right hand. I immediately declared, as we are taught in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 424), "Accidents are unknown to God;" then sat down and tried to realize the truth as best I could. I was able to wash the dishes; and the next day I did my washing, which was for a family of five. No one in the home knew of the burn until I was completely healed.
Another healing was that of my little boy, a child of three. I was cleaning my range and he was on the floor playing with the pegs of the ash door, when all of a sudden he jumped up and told me he had swallowed a peg. I said to my daughter, who was helping me, that we must know it could not harm him. I thought it best to call a practitioner and ask her to help me; and she most lovingly did so. This was on Tuesday morning. He had two treatments, and on Saturday evening it passed from him without the least bit of trouble. I was very grateful for this demonstration. It was another proof that all things are possible to God. The little fellow did not shed a tear when he swallowed the peg, and he was in the best of health the whole time, playing and eating as usual. A short time ago he suffered from a contagious malady. He would ask again and again for some one to read to him. It was beautiful to see how firm he was. He knew that he had been helped before through the reading of the Christian Science textbook.
