Having received so much comfort and encouragement...
Having received so much comfort and encouragement from the testimonies of others in the Christian Science Sentinel and Journal, I in loving gratitude express my thanks for the wonderful healing and uplifting influence of Christian Science. It has for many years been lifting me out of the mists of materiality into God's glorious sunshine. I thank God that Christian Science came into my life when my children were young, for I did not before know how to explain the teachings of the Bible to them. I am grateful to say that they now have some understanding of God's perfect law of harmony, and can demonstrate over many of their difficulties, and also help others.
For many years I suffered from an internal injury, also from throat trouble, of which I was healed within five weeks through the earnest study of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. My life has been completely changed from one of fear, anxiety, pain, resentment, to joy, happiness, and prosperity. For very many years I wore glasses constantly. They, too, have been laid aside through the knowledge that God is all. We have had many instantaneous healings in our family of six children, some of which were of croup, measles, tonsillitis, diphtheria, rheumatism, and results of accidents. For some degree of spiritual understanding I am thankful to God, and I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her work and for the vision that enabled her to blaze the way so clearly, for the uplifting of mankind.—(Mrs.) Margaret Daveney, Drummoyne, Sydney, Australia.
