During the past few years I have received many blessings through the study of Christian Science. When I first came to San Francisco, several years ago, a friend lent me a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and asked me to read it with as little prejudice as possible, consistent with the concept I at that time had of Christian Science. Having much spare time I read a great deal, and soon after beginning to read Science and Health I realized that a digestive trouble had disappeared, and I had taken no medicine. This healing has been permanent and I have had no occasion since to resort to medicine in any form. During the influenza epidemic I was taken suddenly ill; I was alone at the time and being too ill to call for help I waited for the return of my family, by which time pneumonia had developed. A practitioner was called and absent treatment begun. The following day a friend came and read to me from Mrs. Eddy's writings. In two days I was able to be up and to attend to my usual duties, completely healed. For these and other daily blessings, I am very grateful.—(Mrs.) Georgina S. McManus, San Francisco, California.
