A few years ago Christian Science was brought to my husband's attention two or three times, so finally he purchased "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and brought it home. At that time all that I knew of Christian Science had been gathered from conversations ridiculing it, and I thought him very foolish for buying that book. However, when I started to read I discovered that what I had thought Christian Science to be would describe far more accurately what Christian Science is not. Although I did not understand all that I read, what I did grasp seemed so logical that I somehow felt that I had at last found something I had been wanting for a long time. I had been troubled with sleeplessness for some months, so my husband asked me to have help from a practitioner, which I did, and the trouble was soon overcome. Since that time many discordant conditions have been overcome, sometimes with the help of a practitioner, sometimes through just our own understanding. Very severe sick headaches, toothache, neuralgia, constipation, influenza, and colds are some of them.
Grateful as I am for all these proofs of the power of Truth, I am very, very grateful for my better understanding of the Bible. For the church, the reading rooms, the lectures, and the literature I also wish to express gratitude.—(Mrs.) Edith E. Williams, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
I cheerfully testify to the facts stated by my wife, and take the opportunity to add a few words on my own account. Though only a beginner I have had many demonstrations of the truth as applied to mental, physical, and financial conditions and am very grateful. We would not know what to do without Christian Science.—Arthur M. Williams.
