Several years ago I was induced to take an interest in Christian Science by a relative lending me some Christian Science periodicals and books, including the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I was then an inveterate smoker but after reading Science and Health the desire for tobacco left me and I have not used it since. Many times I have been benefited and healed of minor troubles through divine Truth. My dear wife passed on in December, 1918, and it seemed to me for a long time I had nothing to live for, but at last I realized it was wicked to grieve, that she was happy and was living, moving, and having her being in divine Mind. I am thankful that I have been permitted to read some of Mary Baker Eddy's books, and the pamphlets and periodicals published by The Christian Science Publishing Society, and that I can attend the Sunday services and the Wednesday evening meetings occasionally.
