On pages 155 and 156 of "Miscellaneous Writings," in referring to The Christian Science Journal Mrs. Eddy says: "Methinks, were they to contemplate the universal charge wherewith divine Love has entrusted us, in behalf of a suf-fering race, they would contribute oftener to the pages of this swift vehicle of scientific thought; for it reaches a vast number of earnest readers, and seekers after Truth." So I send my bit to the storehouse, in love and gratitude to our dear Leader for showing us the way to follow the ever present Christ, Truth.
Some years ago, the craving for something that would satisfy was met when I read the spiritual interpretation of the Lord's Prayer as given by Mrs. Eddy on pages 16 and 17 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." When I realized that God, who created the universe and man, was perfectly willing and capable to take care of my baby, His child, if I would only let Him, that awful worry and anxiety that had been such a heavy burden during several previous months simply rolled off my shoulders. After the baby had had three Christian Science treatments, he began to grow and develop as a normal baby should. Mrs. Eddy says that "Fear is the fountain of sickness, and you master fear and sin through divine Mind; hence it is through divine Mind that you overcome disease. Only while fear or sin remains can it bring forth death" (Science and Health, p. 391). During the past several years I have not missed a single church service on account of illness, although during this time two baby girls were born under Christian Science treatment. As a family we have known almost continuous health. The oldest child was beautifully healed of a very severe case of adenoids and swollen tonsils, also of a condition of nervousness resulting therefrom. Later he was healed of asthma.
For the spiritual awakening that has come to me through the study and application of Christian Science, and the ever loving help of practitioner; for the freedom from fear and false beliefs and for the constant joy of knowing the allness of God, good, and the nothingness of error, for divine protection and for all the Christian Science literature which helps me every day to keep my thought clear and to put into practice what I so love to read, I am truly grateful. I find that we do love man more by loving God most. In the words of a verse of one of Mrs. Eddy's hymns (Poems, p. 15):—
