With a heart filled with love and gratitude I give my testimony, hoping it will help some one who is seeking the truth. I had been in poor health for some time and had been taking treatments from a doctor when I heard that a Christian Science practitioner was in our neighborhood. I went to see him, and while hearing him explain the Principle of Christian Science, was healed of the troubles I had at that time. This occurred many years ago.

In March, 1917, I was taken with an attack of influenza which developed into acute lung trouble, and became so ill that my family thought I would not recover, but when I felt the thoughts of those around me I turned more earnestly to God. Then a sort of vision came to my troubled sense, which seemed to waken me to the truth. From that time on I felt that I was leaning on divine Love and was assured of perfect healing, which followed in a few weeks. I am truly thankful for this experience, and for the lessons it taught me. This fall, while visiting friends in Lincoln, the ailment called Spanish influenza seemed to make the rounds of the family. I stayed with them and cared for them all. It attacked me also, but I declared the truth for myself and was able to see its nothingness so clearly that the family did not know it had touched me until I told them after it was all over.

I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for revealing to us this beautiful truth. It is such a joy to know God as He is. I am also grateful for the Christian Science literature, which brings us daily blessings.
