I want to express deepest gratitude for all the blessings...
I want to express deepest gratitude for all the blessings that Christian Science has brought into my life. I have been sustained, protected, and strengthened through deep experiences all along the way; for divine Love has never failed to comfort, heal, and redeem. About three months ago I waked in the night with agonizing pain in my left arm. This kept up until morning, the pain being so acute that I could not work, so telephoned for a practitioner to help me. It proved to be a bad attack of neuritis, but the pain was overcome and after a few days I could again move my arm naturally. I am also very grateful for the overcoming of pride and self-righteousness. I was quickly healed of ptomaine poisoning, but nervous prostration following a surgical operation of several years previous was slower to yield. For many years, however, I have been able to take the entire care of a beloved member of my family through the sustaining power of Christian Science. I have seen iritis healed in a few treatments, whereas previously when an oculist had the case the patient was kept in a darkened room with bandaged eyes for six weeks, suffering beyond words to express.
When my daughter was about twelve years old she had bronchitis so badly that the doctor advised our taking her out of New York, and said he feared the ailment had become chronic. Turning to Christian Science shortly after this, she was healed in a few treatments and never had another attack. That was over twelve years ago. I could write page after page of the healings that have come all along the way. My heart is full of gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, who brought the glad tidings to this age; and to all those patient, loving workers who have stretched out a helping hand to me and mine. My prayer is that I may become a tree of righteousness whose planting is the Lord's and that the leaves of the tree will be for the "healing of the nations."
