For over five years and a half I was a victim of a most distressing goiter. A physician gave me both internal and external remedies, but after using several bottles of each I decided that I was no better, instead was gradually growing worse. By that time I knew material remedies were of no avail, so ceased using any.

Over a year later I took up Christian Science. I knew nothing of its healing power and had little faith, but my courage was kept up by friends and relatives, who knew more about it. Copies of the Sentinel and the Monitor were sent me, and later these were followed by a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. Before I had read this ever helpful book a week I was relieved of the choking ache, and the goiter itself was vanishing rapidly. This being the greatest relief that had come to me, I studied deeper into the textbook, and have not known a pain or an ache from the above-mentioned ailment since. I can say that I have been permanently healed of this trouble. Many times Christian Science has kept me free from pain in the case of burns, bruises, bee stings, sore feet, and headaches. I cannot express my thankfulness to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for bringing this wonderful truth to us, and I am very grateful to those who assisted me in any way in the study of this teaching, which I wish ever one knew.
