For some time I have desired to express my gratitude for Christian Science through the pages of the Sentinel. When my family turned to this religion for the healing of my brother about fourteen years ago, I began to attend the Sunday school, but at the same time kept on going to the one in connection with our former church. A few months later, however, when my parents were uniting with the local Christian Science church, I was quite ready to break away from the old associations altogether, because in the Christian Science Sunday school I found that which really explained the Bible and answered my every question in a satisfying way.

I am grateful to God for all this healing truth has done and is doing for me and for all mankind. Every physical ailment which I have had in these years has been overcome by God's law as understood in Christian Science. From the time I was a little girl I had suffered greatly with headaches, and glasses were worn for a while. This trouble has gradually been overcome as I have learned, and put into my daily living, the truth about God and man as taught in the Bible and made clear in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. My hands used to be so chapped all winter that frequently I would have to miss my music lessons, but I am no longer troubled in this way. The tendency to take cold easily has also disappeared and each day I am gaining more dominion over fear, sensitiveness, and kindred beliefs of the carnal mind. I am also grateful because I am learning to express more love, realizing that "true prayer is not asking God for love; it is learning to love, and to include all mankind in one affection," as our Leader tells us on page 39 of "No and Yes."

I cannot begin to tell of all the blessings which Christian Science is bringing into my life, but I am especailly grateful for the privilege of membership in The Mother Church and the local branch church, for class instruction, and for the opportunity of teaching in the Sunday school. I should not feel this testimony was complete without praising God for His goodness in giving to this age one so pure and good and unselfish as Mrs. Eddy, who has revealed to us through her writings the same healing Christ which Jesus manifested. The great good which I receive from our wonderful periodicals can be appreciated and repaid only as I do my part in their wise distribution. I am grateful that through the study of Christian Science I am learning to understand and demonstrate that God is always with us, and that means that whether in the home or the office, on land or sea, the one Father-Mother God is present to deliver from sin, disease, and death all those who put their trust in Him.—(Mrs.) Grace Magee Estey, St. John, New Brunswick, Canada.
