The Lectures

Belleville, Ill. (Society).—Paul Stark Seeley, lecturer; introduced by Lieut. George C. Bond, who said in part:—

Christian Science is not a theory of modern invention. It is a new revelation of divine Principle, known of old. This Principle has always existed and has been manifested at different times during the history of mankind according to the varying degrees of their understanding. It is that golden thread which runs all through the Bible. Through the perception of this truth the patriarchs of old became seers and prophets, and by his clear understanding of it Jesus overcame all the suppositional laws of sickness, sin, and death, and gave to the world a new conception of life. Although this truth became obscured a few hundred years after Jesus' time, it has been rediscovered by Mrs. Eddy and is now bringing health, peace, and the joy of harmonious living to mankind. To-day, during all the turmoil and raging of conflicting mortal sense, this truth is becoming more and more apparent and heralds the overcoming of the Goliath of mental domination by the powers that fight for a freer realm of thinking.
