To-day, as I was looking back over the many blessings I have received in Christian Science during the past eight years, the thought came to me that I had not yet obeyed one of our Master's first commands, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." As one of the ways provided by our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, is the giving of testimonies through our periodicals, I wish to tell my experience in grateful acknowledgment of all that this healing truth has done for me.

Before coming into Christian Science, my life had been filled with sorrow. Those nearest and dearest had been taken from me, and multiplied trials and grief had at last driven me to a state of rebellion; I doubted if there really was a God, still I knew there must be something outside of self, else why was I here. Surely I was in "outer darkness," until the first ray of light came to me in reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.

My only daughter, who was critically ill, became suddenly well after the first two hours of my reading in this book. Years of educated fears fell from my bowed shoulders, and for the first time I learned that God is ever present Love, filling all space, ever ready to help when we turn to Him with all our heart. As a result of this experience two pairs of glasses were laid aside and I have never needed them since. Contagious diseases, chronic bowel disorder, a throat affection, typhoid fever, congestion of the lungs, chronic headaches, heart trouble, blood poisoning, are some of the ills that have been overcome in my home, and tumorous growths have been removed through the power of Truth. We were never once tempted to use drugs in any form whatsoever, although we had been taught from early childhood to rely on them; and the absoluteness of the exact knowledge of Truth to solve every problem was proved to us.
