I am glad to have this opportunity of telling what Christian Science...
I am glad to have this opportunity of telling what Christian Science has done for me and for my family. Eleven years ago I was troubled a great deal with sleeplessness and stomach disorder concurrently. To get relief, upon a physician's advice I took powders prescribed by him, and in time unconsciously became addicted to their regular use, thus becoming a slave to the habit. No one knows the misery of this bondage unless he has experienced it, or how futile it is to make resolutions to break away from it. At this point my husband and I decided that I should try to get help outside of medicine, so we visited Winnipeg to get in touch with some one who could assist us. We found a Christian Science practitioner, and I began the study of this teaching. As I acquired knowledge and understanding of the subject I could see new life ahead, and finally was completely free from this bondage.
There have been many demonstrations with my children. On one occasion our little girl mistook lye for condensed milk, of which she was very fond, and had swallowed some of it before we found her. She is well and strong to-day and understands why she did not suffer as a result. We find complete relief from the worries of everyday life by reading the Lesson-Sermon every day; and while both my husband and I were adherents of orthodox churches, we find Christian Science has taken the place of medicine and preaching. Words cannot express the love due Mrs. Eddy for this revelation of Truth. It surely destroys strife and discord and brings peace and harmony, and I thank God for it.
(Mrs.) Henrietta Richards, Kenora, Ontario, Canada.
