My people are not Christian Scientists, but I am happy to say they are very kind in their attitude toward it. There are no Christian Science churches or even societies near here, but I realize that God is here just the same. I live on a farm, and in August, 1914, when I went into our smoke-house, a heavy fish net that was hanging from the ceiling fell, and a hook caught in my lower eyelid, tearing the flesh from the bone for several inches down my face. My family wanted to send for a doctor, but I called a Christian Science practitioner over the telephone, and then went to my room and washed my face. That evening one of my brothers took a note to the practitioner, nine miles away, and our daily affairs went on the same as usual. I only covered my face with a cloth. The wound did not swell or get sore, and in two days I took up my household duties. In a week only a scar remained, and now that is scarcely to be seen. All I can say is, that I could not do without Christian Science.

My daily prayer is to know more of this truth, to know more about this Principle that is so wonderful, and to stand by it.—Kathryn Lammert, McGirk, Mo.
