"Well done"

It is with sincere regret that the Board of Directors of The Mother Church comply with the request made by Mr. McKenzie in the following letter, and they wish to avail themselves of the opportunity it affords to express publicly their appreciation of his long and efficient service on the board of lectureship. Mr. McKenzie's service has continued from the inception of the lecture work in 1898, he being one of the five men first appointed to the board, as it appears in the February, 1898, Journal. The letter follows.

To The Christian Science Board of Directors:—

The demands of my work in connection with The Christian Science Publishing Society make it increasingly difficult to meet the calls that come to me as a lecturer. So, to be freed from this service, I ask that I be not reelected as a member of the board of lectureship; and I should be glad if a notice were given to the field, that correspondence in regard to lectures would no longer come to me.
