Guidance
O guide
unfailing, always art Thou here!
Though earth's obscuring mists would intervene,
Through consciousness uplifted Thou art seen,
By Truth revealed in Spirit's atmosphere.
To lives Love-lighted Thou art ever near,
Abiding constantly; we dwell serene
In blessed certainty that naught can screen
Thy presence, which the Christ hath shown so clear.
Father, we thank Thee that where'er we go,
Whether the journey lead by day, by night,
Though steep or rough or smooth the path may show,
When clouds are circling low or lost in light,
Whate'er betide, this truth rejoicing brings,—
We rest within the shadow of Thy wings.
