I wish to testify to the goodness of God and to tell something...

I wish to testify to the goodness of God and to tell something of what Christian Science has done for me. I am not a member of the Christian Science church, but have belonged for many years to the church in which I was raised. Christian Science found me completely worn out with nervous prostration. I had been sick a long time and was unable to make any money, so that my family and myself were in destitute circumstances. Three prominent physicians had given me up, saying there was no method known to medical science whereby they could put in a new set of nerves; but I am thankful to God that Christian Science healed me, and has clothed and fed us bountifully for the past three years.

J. D. Thatcher, Kansas City, Mo.

It has been wonderfully proven to me that God is indeed the great Physician. I was in very poor health for fourteen years after the birth of my only child,—even before that, for most of my life I was delicate. I had tried many kinds of remedies,—deep breathing, physical culture, hygiene, and dieting, besides homeopathy and allopathy. I had been operated on three times. Finally, when I was worse than I had been for some time, I was told by two prominent physicians in Kansas City that I would have to undergo another very serious operation. I shrank from this, as the last operation took over three hours, and I afterward nearly passed on.
