I am alive today solely through Christian Science. In January, 1914, I was suddenly taken ill, and the physician who was called in at once declared the case to be diabetes. After I followed the medical prescriptions for several weeks, my condition improved. In March, however, spinal disease and a cerebral affection were added, and the physician told my family to be prepared for the worst. Paralysis had begun to set in, and this made walking impossible.

While in this condition I heard of Christian Science and asked for treatment, which was taken up immediately, though absently. Four weeks later all these troubles had left me, and the words indeed came true in my experience, "Man's extremity is God's opportunity." It seems impossible to describe the great benefits which have come to me through the power of God and the understanding of Him as revealed in this glorious teaching. In our family many diseases have been overcome through Christian Science, such as nervous trouble, whooping-cough, eye and stomach trouble, and we are most deeply grateful to God for the quick and permanent healing which we have experienced.
