It is with a heart full of love and thankfulness to God that...

It is with a heart full of love and thankfulness to God that I wish to acknowledge some of the many blessings Christian Science has brought to me. I am gradually gaining a spiritual understanding of the Bible, and I love to read it; but before I read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I hardly ever looked into the Bible, as I could not understand it. I believed in God, and that He would save every one, but He seemed very far away, and I never had a prayer answered until I came into Christian Science. It is a comfort to know that God is always near, guiding me "lest my footsteps stray" (Poems, p. 14).

I had suffered with corns for about twenty-eight years, and often thought I would give anything to be rid of them. Life was becoming a burden to me, and I was growing very disagreeable. I called on a Christian Science practitioner and asked for her help, and in less than one week I experienced great relief, for which I am very grateful. I am able to be on my feet all day long and very seldom feel any bad effects from it. I also had eighteen teeth extracted at one time, with scarcely any pain. This was a great surprise to the dentist, and he acknowledged he never saw anything like it. I could tell of many other healings in my home, for all the family are interested in Christian Science. We are daily striving to gain more understanding and have been able to make several good demonstrations.

I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for giving us Science and Health, which has done and is doing so much for mankind.
