I am truly grateful for the knowledge I have of Christian Science, and I want to give my testimony to the healing of a badly injured ankle. As soon as its condition was known to the members of my family, who are not Scientists, a physician was called in to see if any bones were broken. After a careful examination the doctor said that it was a severe sprain, and would require the same treatment as a broken bone, adding that it would be some time before I could use my foot. As soon as the doctor left, I asked my husband to call a Christian Science practitioner to take charge of the case, which he did, with successful results. The next day I was about the house doing my own work, but it was not until Saturday, while studying the Lesson-Sermon, the subject of which was "Mind," that I realized just what Christian Science is doing for us,—teaching us the Christ-healing Jesus taught. I felt such a sense of gratitude to God and to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, that I could not refrain from saying from the depths of my heart, "Father, I thank thee." From that moment I realized the perfect healing of my ankle, and I proved it by putting it to the test, for I walked some two or three miles without any unpleasant results.—Julia E. Roberts, Denver, Col.

The timid hand stretched forth to aid
A brother in his need,
The kindly word in grief's dark hour,
That proves a friend indeed.
The plea for mercy softly breathed,
When justice threatens high;
The sorrow of a contrite heart,—
These things shall never die.
