When I think of the many blessings which my family and I have received through the study and application of Christian Science, I feel a great desire to express my gratitude through the pages of the Sentinel in the hope that my testimony may be of some help to other seekers after the truth. Christian Science was brought to my attention some fourteen years ago in London, England. The way during these years has not been by any means one of roses, but I am grateful for the many lessons and for the purifying process which has taken place in my thinking, for I have, as St. Paul has said, been "transformed" by the renewal of the mind.

Christian Science has made me a better man mentally, morally, and physically. The physical healing has come only in proportion to the purification of my thinking, only when thoughts of fear, envy, jealousy, anger, hatred, malice, selfishness, etc., have been lessened and then destroyed. Last year I was freed from intense suffering which had caused me sleepless nights for months, and for this demonstration alone I am deeply grateful to God and to the one who so patiently helped me. I have also had to learn the lesson not to lean on my own understanding in my profession as a musician, but to place my trust and faith in Spirit, God, our Father-Mother, who is infinite intelligence, and to know that the real man, God's image and likeness, reflects and partakes of this infinite intelligence. I am striving to remember that "I can of mine own self do nothing," and yet that "I can do all things" well "through Christ [the realization of Truth] which strengtheneth me;" that God, Spirit, has already made all things good and perfect spiritually; and that, in order to receive the blessings, I have nothing to do but to let His will be done, and just know this truth daily and reflect more and more love toward God and my neighbor.

Nothing but Christian Science has been used in our family as a remedial agency during the last fourteen years, and it has always met our needs. I am truly thankful to God and grateful to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for all these blessings.—Frederik Frederiksen, Chicago, III.
