Our family has experienced an immeasurable blessing through the healing of a mental disorder in the case of my sister, and we who were privileged to observe this glorious proof of the power of Truth are profoundly grateful. For my part, upon attending the Christian Science services I very soon experienced a sense of peace as the result of the teachings of that church, and I soon began to use the thoughts of truth which I took home as well as those I found in the Christian Science literature. Thus it has been possible for me during the past four years to overcome every disturbance, partly through my own efforts and partly with the help of a Christian Science practitioner. Through the understanding of God and man which I have gained thus far, I have also been able to demonstrate the unreality of evil on several occasions when I have helped my husband by means of this truth. Sharp pain in the side, which grew almost unbearable, disappeared while I declared the truth for him, and on another occasion he overcame distress in the ear within thirty-six hours. Even in cases where attacks of severe cold would not yield in their incipient stages, the accompanying symptoms were far less serious than formerly, and they would disappear in a much shorter time. Thus I have learned to trust in divine Love under every circumstance, and thereby have experienced rich blessings daily and hourly.

I have endeavored to acquire a knowledge of the English language in order to be able to study Science and Health, but now that I am in possession of the German translation I often pause in reading, and with a sense of utmost gratitude remember our beloved and thoughtful Leader through whom it has been made easy for us to know the truth and to enter into the heritage of the children of God. I am daily striving to grow into a fuller understanding and to prove my gratitude by my life.
