While playing on a football team last season, I received very serious injuries of the leg and ankle. Having tried Christian Science before in a serious throat trouble and received relief within a few hours, I decided to have my ankle treated in the same manner. At first I did not know the extent of the injury, and had some pain the first day and night, but that was all. The second day after the accident, while moving around the house, I felt a pricking of the flesh, and on examining the place where it seemed to be I could feel where the bone was split. When the practitioner arrived I told her of this, and she said I could have a doctor if I wished, but I thought it best to trust to God alone. About four days later, poisoning set in, and I could not put my foot to the floor; but in a few days this trouble all disappeared. About sixteen days from the date of the accident I was able to walk, but not rapidly. I went out of town for two days, getting on and off cars, going and returning, and was back to business in just three weeks. I can now walk and run as formerly, and have had no trouble worth speaking of since. I am very thankful for Christian Science and the help it has given me, also for the faith in God which this teaching gave me, enabling me to rely on Him.
