I deem it my duty to give some expression of gratitude...

I deem it my duty to give some expression of gratitude for all the blessings which have come into my life with Christian Science. This truth was brought to me through the healing of a motherless babe that we took into our family. Three of the best doctors said the child had an incurable disease, so we threw away all the drugs and asked for treatment in Christian Science. In a very short time he was cured. He has never taken any drugs since, and is now a strong, healthy boy. His healing was brought about by absent treatment and was my first experience in Christian Science. The kind practitioner sent me some literature to read, and as I read I felt that this teaching was what I had been looking for all my life. I had been a church-member for a number of years, but never was satisfied with the teachings and was very much discontented with everything. Now all is different, thanks be to God, also to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has shown us the way.

I have had beautiful demonstrations, and have also had some battles to fight, but Truth has always prevailed, and by studying "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" I have been enabled to get a better understanding of God's promises, and I am now a happy woman. I have great help from reading the Sentinel and our other Christian Science literature, and no words can express my gratitude for the blessings received.
