In June, 1907, Christian Science came to me as a light that shineth in darkness. About one year before that time I had been taken sick, and my physician advised a change. For a while I was seemingly benefited, but after four months I had a complete collapse. Then for nine months I was in bed, being able to be up but little. My physician and two others did what they could, but I grew weaker each day, and was almost in despair.
Christian Science was then advised, and in our extremity, and as a last resort, we decided to try it. As there was no practitioner near us, we were directed to one in the adjoining country. She came, and brought "good tidings of great joy." She spent one week with me, and when she went away I was eating anything I wanted, and the extreme nervousness and a chronic bowel trouble had been overcome. Now I can truthfully say I am well and happy. I am indeed grateful to God for Christian Science.
