I send my testimonial to what Christian Science has done for our son, that others who are suffering may know where they can get help from God through Christian Science. It makes me tremble to think what would have happened if we had not found the truth. In February, 1909, our son, thirteen years old, was taken with severe pains over the eyes and in the back of the neck. We took him to several eye specialists, but without help. He continued to get worse instead of better, until he became completely paralyzed and totally blind. We had several physicians, and finally decided to take him to a hospital. He was in the hospital twenty-two weeks, when the doctor told us he would be just as well off at home, so we brought the boy home. He improved somewhat physically, but he was mentally in a very bad condition. He had been at home about two weeks when he was taken with spasms so that it took two men to keep him on the bed. We had been told many times that it was a hopeless case, when a friend advised Christian Science treatment. We had tried everything else and this seemed to us like a line thrown out to a drowning person who is about to go down for the last time.

We at once sent for a practitioner and took up Christian Science with our whole heart, and in a little more than two weeks our boy was healed,—perfectly well. I cannot express my thankfulness for Christian Science, which has helped me and my family so much. I have often wished that I could go out into the world and bring all the suffering ones to God and Christian Science for help. I know that it has helped us not only in sickness but in other troubles. Before taking up Christian Science it seemed to be nothing but trouble. I was in the hospital myself while the boy was there, and my husband, who is a teamster, had lots of trouble, losing four valuable horses inside of a year; but since taking up Christian Science everything goes on all right. I shall always be thankful to God for the help we have all received, and I wish to learn more of this truth every day, that I may look to God in time of trouble.
