I owe it to Christian Science that I am here to-day, able...
I owe it to Christian Science that I am here to-day, able to "praise God from whom all blessings flow." In July, 1903, I first heard of Christian Science through a stranger coming to my home in search of lodging. At that time I was a hopeless sufferer. For nearly ten years I had been most miserable, but the last four or five I had been reduced to a mere frame, through nervousness ending in St. Vitus' dance in its most terrible form. I had no rest night or day, until at last, on July 4, 1903, I was taken with convulsions, and the two physicians attending me (one being my own father, a practising physician for thirty-three years) both said I would be unable to endure it any length of time. I had tried every known remedy in materia medica, besides electricity, message, etc. After some questioning my husband gave his consent to my trying Christian Science, and to-day I am rid of the trouble, can eat anything,—a thing impossible before,—can sleep, and enjoy the freedom and liberty which God gives. I am to-day a living monument to the healing power of Christian Science. I am grateful for health and harmony, and that we can prove, as centuries ago, that God is All in all.
I have seen ills of every sort quail before the power of Truth, as revealed in Christian Science, and I have realized that it is the truth which makes us free.
