In the fall of 1898 my sister handed me Science and Health to read. I was at the time afflicted with rheumatism, and was otherwise broken down, having served three years in the Civil War, and I had just lost a son eighteen years old when I commenced reading Science and Health. I had studied the Bible very faithfully for two or three years, but it never satisfied my longings, for I seemed to hunger and thirst for a better understanding of the truth.

Christian Science satisfies me, for it has healed me, and I am just as happy as I could wish to be. I have attended a good many churches, but find more help in Christian Science than in anything else, for it heals the sick and harmonizes thought as nothing else can.

I am very grateful for this discovery which has come through Mrs. Eddy, and hope she realizes how much we appreciate her faithful work,—A. D. K., Mohall, N. D.
