I feel that I would be very ungrateful if I hesitated longer to acknowledge what Christian Science has done for me and mine.

It was in January, 1901, that I accepted this wonderful truth. Not through any physical healing, but through the healing of one of the liquor habit of over fifteen years' standing.

All hope was gone that it would ever be different, as it seemed, no matter how much he tried to give it up, the devil had control. But, thanks be to God, Christian Science was brought to our relief and the trouble was overcome in one treatment. What appealed to me most was this, that the treatment was given while the patient was under the influence of liquor, and four hours after the practitioner had left, he said, "I have taken my last drink," and it has been the last.
