A Cluster of Fruit

Healed by Christian Science ten years ago of a tumor on my eyelid which nearly closed my eye and which had been removed three times by surgical operations, each time returning with conditions more alarming than the first, I rejoice to say that it has not returned since, and it cannot, for God is the healer.

Here let me tell how I have proved, according to the teachings of Science and Health, that God heals the sick. After taking class instruction in Christian Science and recognizing its great possibilities, I became desirous that everybody should share its blessings. It was therefore my wont to take all who would go, to my teacher to be healed. One day she said to me, "Why do you bring the patients to me? You must go to work yourself. The rod of understanding has been placed in your hand; now wield it. God is the healer." From that moment I saw my duty and obeyed.

Soon there came to me a case of chronic scrofula. The patient had sought many physicians and was none the better but rather worse. The patient was healed and is now among the many Christian Science practitioners who are bearing much fruit from the seed sown by this wonderful book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker G. Eddy.
