Grateful Acknowledgment

I wish to express my feeling in regard to the latest change in our text-book. The one sweet paragraph, page 253, 1. 32 to 15 next page, has proved of inestimable value to me in practical ways. The encouragement derived from the added words is of incalculable worth in helping me to persevere when my way seems slow or long. Many times I have appealed to a physician for advice, in the hope that I might gain a little courage to live on in my distress, and received nothing compared with what I receive from Science and Health.

I am grateful, so grateful, for the glad hope brought to me that I shall overcome sin through my understanding of Christ's teaching. Oh, suffering, troubled ones, heartbroken and sick over your failures to fight the self that bars your way to peace and joy, what glad tidings this book will bring you! It does make the Bible, with all its promises, your own. You can use it to find your God and your true self.
