Among the Churches
The Christian Scientists of Portland, Maine, desire to report through the Sentinel the progress of the work in their city. On July 10 the following letter was received.
Portland, Me., July 9, 1902. To the Members and Congregation of First Church of Christ, Scientist.
Dear Brothers and Sisters:—On Tuesday evening, July 8, Second Church of Christ, Scientist, of Portland, was formally disorganized, and its members are desirous of forming a part of your congregation. This step has been taken as the result of our interpretation of the recent Bylaw, and from what we have gained by study of the Mother's Message to her Church in June.
