Rising with Christ

Born to a higher sense of Life,
Out of the turmoil, din, and strife,
Into a harmony, sweet and grand;
Led by the Father's unerring hand,
Rising with Christ to victory.

Out of the darkness of self and sin,
Into the higher life with Him;
Leaving the pleasures of sense for soul,
Reaching at last the heavenly goal,
Rising with Christ to victory.

Knowing no law, but the "Law of Love,"
Fixing our mind upon things above;
Rearing a mansion grand and fair,
Of beautiful thoughts like jewels rare;
Rising with Christ to victory.

Leaving all envy, hatred, and strife,
Gaining the full and radiant life,
Where sickness and pain, no entrance can find,
Dwelling serene, in the realm of mind;
Rising with Christ to victory.

From the door of our tomb is the stone rolled away,
By the "Angel of Truth" this glad Easter day;
Dominion is given, o'er death and the grave,
He is risen, the Christ, who is mighty to save,
With him let us rise to victory.
