I have often thought what a great thing it would be to come into Christian Science as a little child, but such was not my privilege. I write my experience for the benefit of those who may become discouraged at their slow growth and tardy demonstrations.

I came to Christian Science because it seemed to hold out a promise of higher spiritual understanding, and that was what I was longing for. My constant prayer was, "If this is the Truth I want it;" at the same time I antagonized almost every statement made to me. Thus working, doubting, praying, several years passed by, until, little by little, the Truth began to dawn in my consciousness, and slowly but surely antagonism vanished, until now it is my greatest desire to be obedient in all things.

Mrs. Eddy has become to me the tender, loving Mother in Israel, working for all mankind. Her book, Science and Health, did not displace the Bible as mortal thought suggested, but added light thereto.
