I feel that I can no longer put off acknowledging the benefits I have received from Christian Science. A physical disorder from which I had suffered for years had made me a complete nervous wreck. I could not get along without some kind of sedative all the time, and the thoughts of the slave I had become to this habit, together with the physical suffering, would sometimes drive me almost insane. I was finally persuaded to try Christian Science, and from the time of the first treatment I never again tasted medicine or had any desire for it.

The spiritual uplifting which came with my first insight into this great truth seemed marvelous, and I have ever since been happier than in all my life before. I did not believe in God or the Bible, and was discontented and miserable, but now all is changed. I have a religion which i would not give up for all the world,—a practicable, demonstrable religion, bringing with it peace, health, and happiness; and I cannot tell how thankful I am to Mrs. Eddy for her courage in giving the world the benefit of her great discovery. I try to show my gratitude by daily living in harmony with Truth as far as I understand it.
