A Letter to a Former Physician

My heart goes out in deepest gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for the help I have received physically, mentally, and spiritually, from a close study of her book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."

I recognize the physical healing as only the "Bugle Call," and that which follows, as every true Christian Scientist knows, fills the heart's needs as nothing else has ever done. Therefore, my earnest desire is expressed in Ephesians, 6:19, "And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel [Good spell]."

Christian Science furnishes the key which unlocks this "mystery," but to many who do not earnestly strive to enter the portals of Truth, these utterances seem sometimes obscure.
