Poems

From grief afar

As the rhythm of my life moves in a growing awarenessof man's real identity and being, the seeming barriers of time, distance, death, fall before the timeless truththat we are ever at one with God.

Error's not a terror

Usually a bullyIs quite a coward, too,And if you face his threatsHe runs away from you.

Take heart!

However alone you are, alone in a room with a telly, alone as you walk in the park, taking yourself to the movies, cooking yourself an egg, feeling the chill of not being needed, with loved ones goneor not yet found.

Man: present perfect

Be of good cheer!

Inevitable good

The dawn is inevitable,It can't be stopped.

What's in your attic?

Do you have yesterday's heartachestied up in a bundle andhidden somewherein the closed drawer of your thought?

A bridge of light

A bridge of light across a darkened streamwhose currents claim to grasp and sweep awayall things—event, accomplishment, hope's gleam, all individuals, their work, their day—

Knowing God's love

When we meet pain, fear, or dread,Ignorance of God's love for usIs all it really is.

Divine decree

Inevitable as morn—as planets in their courses—yet gently as the dawn,God's law itself enforces.

Expectation

This morning I checked upon my expectation.

Witnessing

Our resurrection dawn is now.

In God's great heart

In God's great heart I shelter me,When trials come or cares annoy;I find in Him a solace sweet,My greatest bliss, my deepest joy.
