When it feels like the end of the world

My friends post a lot of selfies on Instagram. But the other day, there was one that made me pause. This girl wasn’t smiling or doing something silly. She was crying like it was the end of the world.

We’ve all had those moments, whether or not we’ve made them public on social media. I know I have—especially last fall when I got the news that right in the middle of a whole lot of things I was struggling with, one of my very best friends was going to be moving almost 3,000 miles away.

God’s answers aren’t vague reassurances; they speak to our fears with both tenderness and awesome precision.
