The best graduation gift
I have a graduation present for you. It’s something I wish someone had given me after I graduated from high school, and especially after college. Instead, I discovered it for myself through my study of Christian Science, and now I’m sharing it with you: The most important thing you can do today, and every day going forward, is to get to know yourself the way God does—as the expression of the infinite. Because when you do, your world opens up.
The expression of the infinite. That’s a big idea to contemplate, so let’s pause on it for a second. What does this mean for your identity? Your purpose? What does it mean when you’re looking for opportunities to use your talents, or just trying to figure out what those talents might be?
The infinite is God, and what I love about contemplating our infinite source is that “infinite” reminds me that God has no limits. Mind, being infinite, expresses itself in fresh, inspired ideas. Soul, being infinite, is a well of joy and artistry that never runs dry. Love, being infinite, never fails to reassure us of our inestimable value.
