Bullying: What are you doing about it?

How are you helping to stop bullying in your school? One teen in Southern California has created an app that enables students to find lunch buddies. She was inspired by her own experience of eating lunch alone for an entire year—and getting bullied. And now she hopes to prevent other teens from having the same experience.

The app allows students to post “open lunch” events, which means that anyone looking for a table in those students’ cafeteria can find the “open” table and know they won’t be turned away. The app also allows for privacy for those students seeking a place to sit; no one ever has to know how they found a table to join.

Prayer can change the mental climate of a school, from a place where bullying is passively accepted as “normal,” to a safe environment.
