Clarity for an undecided voter

A global economic crisis. The war in Iraq. Healthcare reform.

We’ve all read the headlines and heard the sound bites. And by now, the stream of TV ads alone leaves me reaching for the mute button. But I’ve recently learned how important it is to stay a part of the political process in my prayers—even in this final week leading up to the US presidential election.

Over the last few months, this election has sparked numerous conversations between my peers and me, as we’ve deciphered how we feel about politics. As these conversations progressed, I sincerely wanted to learn how to make the right choice on election day. Yet I found myself torn between foundational ideas from each of the two political parties. Each party offered something I felt was important, so how was I supposed to pick between the two? I watched the debates and educated myself about policy positions. But I was still feeling more and more confused.
