"Worship God"

Whenever through the troublous dayTemptation's woes appear,When sorrow weighs my spirit down,A "still small voice" I hear:"Worship God.

Inspiration

In deep and somber fastness of a woodA silent golden cataract of lightO'er crags of green and yellow foliage leaps,Nor bends its radiant courseTill in the troubled mirror of a poolIts molten splashes far across the fernsWake glimm'ring light,Like diamond dew amid the maidenhair.

God is Taking Care of All

The things I need to do to-dayShould be accomplished one and all;No thought of doubt I need obey,Since God is taking care of all.

Employment

To do Love's service lovingly,For Love's dear sake,His grace thy inspiration, generous, free,The potency of Truth supporting thee.

Obedience

Shall learning thenSpeak to me in paradox?

Security

When day grows dark, I look to Thee,And in the very placeWhere deepest shadows seemed to beI see Thee face to face;Since Thou art Life, Thou fillest space.

A Prayer

Father, I knowThat day by day,And hour by hour,Thou art the Way;And as I trustThy great all-power,I thus can proveThat Christ is Truth; That health and strengthAnd peace and youthAre but my heritageFrom Thee—Thy bounties, oh! so freely giv'n,Of happiness and loveAnd heaven!
